HELLO, I'M JEROME DAMEY.
I am a designer, illustrator, and motion artist. I am a versatile creative and work across a wide range of styles and projects. My life experience and upbringing have uniquely crafted me into a person who uses the power of creative thinking to overcome any challenge that is thrown my way.
Creativity runs in my veins—my father was a "creative". Though he had attended college at the Burnley School of Art and Design, he eventually found a career as a drafter at Boeing. He was a very technically-minded person whose analytical nature added to his ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. My two brothers and I benefitted from his knowledge as he would take the time to teach us traditional drawing techniques and bring us along while he invented solutions for his many projects.
My mother, a refugee from Cambodia's Khmer Rouge is also a massive contributor to my abilities as an artist. If it weren't for her quick wit, patience, and resilience, she may not have escaped the war. She instilled in me these same qualities and it's these qualities, though not specific to making art, that help me find success in all of the ventures I pursue today.
I am located in Seattle, WA where I enjoy life with my wife and two children. I take advantage of everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer, spending weekends out fishing in the Puget Sound or camping in the cozy forests of our Cascade Mountain range.
